While I had a great deal of responsibility and interaction with the South Seattle College website, I am specifically focusing on the Programs page (both Academic Transfer and Professional-Technical education, as they are the portions of the site I redesigned and rebuilt most comprehensively.

The challenge with the South Seattle site is that it is very text-heavy. I chose to use some of the graphic designer's print styling on the website. For example, the border behind the images is from the print pages, as are the colors I've used for accents. The visual elements are designed to break up the text on the page, and also to, where possible, be an image out of the featured program. In cases where there are no extant, recent photos, I used images of the college itself. The text was also streamlined to be more readable and more scannable.
